Satom SA has an industrial maintenance service that takes care of maintaining, inspecting and cleaning the buildings and their surroundings. They monitor technical installations, carry out repairs, remove waste and handle small administrative tasks.

They use machines and sometimes handle toxic products, while respecting safety rules and wearing appropriate protection and clothing (gloves, safety shoes, mask).

During the training, the apprentice acquires the following tasks:

* Preparation of operational work;
* Cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of outdoor installations, equipment and buildings;
* Maintenance of green spaces;
* Completion of operational work;
* Collaboration with clients and colleagues.

## Training Description ##

* The training is acquired through an apprenticeship in one of the following specific areas: concierge service, road maintenance service or sports facilities;
* Apprenticeship duration of 3 years;
* In-company, 4 days per week;
* Theoretical courses at vocational school, 1 day per week;
* Inter-company courses complement the training with 25 to 29 days spread over the 3 years of apprenticeship.

## Career Prospects ##

* Courses organised by certain large companies distributing cleaning products and machines, or by professional organisations covering new products, maintenance methods for special coatings, environmental protection, waste recycling, etc.;
* Federal certificate for concierge, road maintenance foreman, maintenance agent, specialist in bathing establishments;
* Federal diploma for building caretaker, facility management and maintenance manager;
* Diploma of ES technician in construction management;
* Bachelor of Science in Facility Management.
