Grächen lies in the Nikolai valley, on a spacious sun terrace, 1600 m above sea level, embedded in a beautiful and intact landscape, surrounded by forests and mountains. Both in winter and in summer, Grächen is known and loved across the borders as a family paradise. Families with children both young and old can expect a varied and interesting offer all year round. 

With 44 kilometres of slopes, five children's parks, snowshoe and winter hiking trails, the snow-assured ski area offers something for everyone. In summer, there are 250 km of walking trails, and everything is offered, from a leisurely walk along the water courses to a demanding mountain tour. Mountain bikers also get their money's worth. 

Grächen has about 1250 inhabitants, who enjoy a lively village life in various sports and cultural associations. In about 30 minutes by car you can reach both the centre of Visp and the world health resort of Zermatt.
