Grimisuat

The municipality of Grimisuat, covering an area of 445 hectares, is located on the south-facing hillside above the Rhône Valley. It offers a preserved, residential and family-friendly environment where all essential amenities are within easy reach.

Schools, the church, the hospital, shops, restaurants, traditional wine cellars, sports facilities and leisure infrastructure can all be reached within just a few minutes. The steady growth of the population reflects the attractiveness of the municipality: from 1,600 residents in 1980 to 2,889 in 2012.

The built-up area is divided into two main settlements:

• The lower plateau, home to the village of Champlan
• The upper plateau, where the main village of Grimisuat is located

The neighbouring municipalities are Savièse to the west, Arbaz to the north, Ayent to the east and Sion to the south.
