Arbaz

Arbaz Municipality (1,146 m above sea level) is located on the right bank of the Rhône River, just 8 km from Sion, the capital of Valais. Facing south and overlooking the magnificent panorama of the Valais Alps, Arbaz enjoys a healthy and sunny climate.

Arbaz is a charming village perched on the sunny slopes of the Rhône Valley. Surrounded by the municipalities of Savièse to the west, Ayent to the east and Grimisuat to the south, Arbaz is currently home to more than 1,100 residents.

With an annual population growth of around 3%, Arbaz has experienced the strongest growth in the district of Sion since the early 2000s. This reflects not only the favourable climate, but above all the excellent quality of life that residents enjoy.

The municipality covers a total area of 1,929 hectares, of which 68% consists of productive land. Its territory stretches almost continuously from the Rhône Valley to the mountains, ranging in altitude from 940 m to 2,886 m. The village itself lies between 1,100 m and 1,180 m above sea level.
