Noble-Contrée

The municipality of Noble-Contrée was established on 1 January 2021 following the referendum of 10 June 2018, which was approved by 75% of the citizens of the three municipalities of Miège, Venthône and Veyras. The new municipality brings together 4,627 residents and covers an area of 653 hectares.

To mark the merger, a new coat of arms was created. A heraldry specialist designed it by incorporating key elements that reflect the region's identity: a medieval feature (the battlements), viticulture and winemaking (the grapes), the sun, and the traditional colours red and gold. The three bunches of grapes symbolize the three former municipalities that joined together to form Noble-Contrée.
