Port-Valais
Located at an altitude of 375 metres at the southern end of Lake Geneva, the Municipality of Port-Valais benefits from an exceptionally diverse geographical setting. The municipality is made up of two villages:
Le Bouveret, with around 3,400 inhabitants, is situated at the mouth of the Rhône River. This welcoming village has taken full advantage of its privileged location to develop unique and attractive leisure and tourism facilities. Its amusement and theme parks attract numerous visitors every day.
Les Evouettes, home to around 890 inhabitants, is harmoniously nestled at the foot of the imposing Grammont massif. The village has retained its rural character and is shaped by agriculture and viticulture. Its wines are highly appreciated by connoisseurs and enjoy an excellent reputation far beyond the region.
The surrounding area offers countless opportunities to explore nature. Hiking trails lead into the mountains and provide breathtaking views over Lake Geneva. Around Le Bouveret and Les Evouettes, a wide network of walking and cycling routes invites visitors and residents alike to discover the beauty of the region.
It is equally enjoyable to stroll along the lakeshore, discover the pleasures of boating, or take advantage of the wide range of water sports and recreational activities available on and around the lake.
