Champéry

The Municipality of Champéry is located in the Val d'Illiez and forms part of the Monthey district in the Canton of Valais. The municipality has a population of 1,310 residents and covers an area of 39 km². Champéry is situated at an altitude of 1,050 metres above sea level. It can be reached via the main road through the Val d'Illiez as well as by the Aigle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry (AOMC) regional railway line.

The village is nestled at the foot of the famous Dents du Midi mountain range, which consists of seven peaks: Haute-Cime, Les Doigts, Dent Jaune, Éperon, Cathédrale, Forteresse, and Cime de l'Est. The Municipality of Champéry is proud to host the Palladium, the National Ice Sports Centre (Centre National de Sports de Glace, CNSG), among its key facilities.

Tourism is developed and promoted within the "Région Dents du Midi" tourism region, which brings together the municipalities of Troistorrents, Val-d'Illiez, and Champéry. Champéry offers a wide range of opportunities for relaxation, recreation, and well-being. With its diverse leisure and outdoor activities, everyone can find something to enjoy while recharging their batteries in an exceptional natural setting.
