Mont-Noble

The municipality of Mont-Noble is located on the right bank of the Borgne River in the Val d’Hérens. Its territory stretches from the Borgne Gorge at an altitude of 530 metres to the Becs de Bosson, whose highest summit reaches 3,132 metres. The municipality covers a total area of 4,300 hectares.

Overlooking the Rhône Valley and the entrance to the Val d’Hérens, the three picturesque villages that make up Mont-Noble extend over a distance of just over five kilometres, between 1,300 and 1,340 metres above sea level.

From the valley floor to the mountains, and from the city to the villages, it takes little more than 20 minutes to enjoy a complete change of scenery and atmosphere.

The villages of Nax, Vernamiège and Mase are an integral part of the Val d’Hérens, a region renowned for its traditional raccards (historic granaries), the famous Combat des Reines cow fights, authentic raclette, and Fendant wine produced from local vineyards.
