Lax

The municipality of Lax connects the Aletsch region to the high valley of Goms. With its 320 inhabitants, Lax is relatively quiet. It’s the perfect place to live if you’re looking for somewhere sunny and close to nature.

Lax is the starting point for numerous cycling and hiking tours, making it the ideal home for sports enthusiasts. The municipality borders the Aletsch Arena and is a short distance from the Binntal Landscape Park, so there are plenty of outdoor activities available. The ski destination of the Aletsch Arena can be reached directly via the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, and the cross-country skiing paradise of Goms is 15 minutes away by train – virtually on your doorstep.

Train services run every half hour in the direction of Goms or Brig and Visp. The agglomeration of Brig-Visp-Naters is only a 30-minute commute from Lax.
