Fieschertal

Fieschertal is a pretty community with lots of charm, distributed across seven hamlets and situated in a romantic valley a few minutes’ drive from Fiesch. It is surrounded by the Finsteraarhorn and Jungfrau massifs.

Fieschertal is one of the largest Swiss municipalities in terms of area and lies in the midst of the imposing Valais Alps. The Fiescher Glacier and a large part of the Aletsch Glacier lie within the municipality’s territory, as does the mountain station of the highest railway station in Europe, the Jungfrau Railway on the Jungfraujoch.

There are a host of sports and leisure facilities in Fieschertal and the surrounding area. The region is well known as a mecca for hang gliding and paragliding.
