Val de Bagnes
The Municipality of Val de Bagnes was created in 2021 through the merger of the former municipalities of Bagnes and Vollèges. With more than 11,000 year-round residents, the municipality welcomes up to 50,000 visitors during peak tourist seasons, thanks in particular to the renowned resort of Verbier.
In addition to this famous destination, the municipality encompasses 25 villages and hamlets, many of which have preserved their charm, authenticity, and unique character. The municipal territory is among the largest in Switzerland.
While tourism is a key economic driver, craftsmanship, commerce, and agriculture also play an integral role in the local economy. This favourable situation enables the municipality to maintain a high standard of services and infrastructure for both residents and visitors.
Thanks to the railway line connecting the Rhône Valley to the train station in Le Châble, the municipality enjoys a privileged alpine location. With its attractive tax environment, Val de Bagnes is committed to providing ideal conditions for both living and working.
From early childhood services, including four daycare centres, to support for senior citizens through assistance programmes, activities, and healthcare services, and from childcare and schools to leisure opportunities for young people, Val de Bagnes offers services and facilities tailored to all segments of the population.
