Ried-Brig

Ried-Brig is part of the Brig-Visp-Naters agglomeration and is ideally situated on the Brigerberg plateau. A high quality of living, many hours of sunshine and a direct and fast connection to the centres in the valley via the Simplon pass road (A9) or through a frequent public transport timetable speak for themselves. 

Due to its good location, the municipality has grown considerably in recent years. More than 200 school children are taught in the local school. The regional school and various secondary schools (college in Brig, vocational schools, etc.) are located virtually on the doorstep. Since August 2020, the municipality has also been offering comprehensive extra-family care structures with its own “Wundernasa” day care centre. A doctor's surgery and a retirement and nursing home in the village as well as the hospital centre in Brig round off a variety of nursing and health-related needs. 

The municipality has an active community life. 20 clubs offer varied and interesting leisure activities. An extensive network of walking trails leads through lonely and unspoilt areas. A wetland nature reserve and the Achera-Biela nature reserve invite you to relax and unwind in nature.
